Malta International Firework Festival

The Ministry for Tourism and the Malta Tourism Authority are organising the 14th edition of the Malta International Firework Festival that will take place on 3 different dates and 3 different locations:
This spectacular event, which takes place at the end of April to commemorate Malta's accession into the European Union on 1st May 2004, is held in Valletta's Grand Harbour and 2 other locations.
Some Maltese and foreign firework factories will work together to create 3 amazing firework shows synchronised to the music. Over the years it has attracted different foreign pyrotechnic companies from Australia, Canada, Venezuela as well as Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal and the United Kingdom.
Malta takes it this year on against Thailand and Italy. The local participants in this competition will be St. Mary Fireworks Factory from Ghaxaq, Lourdes Fireworks Factory from Qrendi and St. Andrew’s Band Fireworks Factory from Luqa.
